Sideline Swing have played all kinds of events over the last 30 years. We are happy to play weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, and community, cultural, and charity events. We play on a semi regular basis for the local swing dancing group, the Swingtown Rebels, and can often be found entertaining the crowds outside at Riverside Market.
We have played music festivals, race day breakfast events, St Patrick’s day events, burlesque shows, the city to surf, various markets, community fun days, concerts, balls, and galas. We play seated concerts and dinners, themed cocktail events, and dance parties. We’ve even done flash-mob concerts, including one at the Christchurch Public Hospital.
Because of the foot tapping nature of Swing music, Sideline Swing are an ideal choice when you want your guests up and dancing. If there is a meaningful song you’ve like the band to perform, or even a guest of honour wanting to perform with them, we are happy to accommodate most requests (with sufficient notice).
